There's some more cover art. Album 4: "FUNdamentals" is also moving away from the Gold Audio Series. First there's the new. Second there's the old.

Albums

They have just released a picture of the back cover of Album 51. Here you can see the front and the back.

    

Album 3 "Heroes" just got a cover change. They're moving away from "The Gold Audio Series" and just making them normal Odyssey covers. First you can see the new cover and new back, then there's the old cover and old back. And, yes, for albums 1-50 they will have the old logo. 51 and on will have the new logo.

Podcast

There's a new Official Podcast. That's were you can hear a mini-episode named "Welcome to Whit's End". It's were you get introduced to all the characters. Plus hear the first scene of the first episode of the new season. The episode is called "The Inspiration Station". Also this is the first Official Podcast to feature the new theme song.

Odyssey Scoop Contest

Here's another chance to win a free copy of Album 51 "Take it from the Top". It's at the Odyssey Scoop, and called the ScoopYourself Contest. It's were you can arrange your Odyssey action figures, videos, albums, books, or anything Odyssey you have. Put them in a creative design. The most creative design wins. Focus on the Family recently released the preliminary second Passages book cover. You can read the first chapter of "Arin's Judgment" here.

Mysterious Character

Okay, here's the deal. When your on the redesigned Whit's End website, you click on "CDs, DVDs, and More", and you look at the top of the screen. . . There's a picture of a red-haired man wearing a purple suit.  Who is it? You decide. (In other words, I don't know.)

Theme Songs

There's a new Official podcast that introduces the new theme song that will be used from album 51 and on. You can vote on the new theme song for the Official podcast. There are 3 options.

There's a new "Passages: Darien's Rise" book cover. It is the same artwork as "Darien's Rise" the audio drama. It has the new Odyssey logo on the top of the cover.

Paul Herlinger--1929-2010

Paul Herlinger, who recently retired from being the voice of Mr. Whittaker, was born on May 1, 1929 and died on February 2, 2010. Though they already replaced him with Andre Stojka, it is still a very sad day for Odyssey fans. If you want to read his obituary, click here.

Superbowl

It's Superbowl weekend! Focus On the Family is going to be showing a 30 second commercial called "Celebrate Family, Celebrate Life" during the Superbowl! Be watching for it on Sunday. You can see a little more about it here on the redesigned Focus On the Family website.

Connie

I almost forgot! I've shown you Eugene, Whit, Matthew Parker. . . But I haven't shown one of the biggest characters. Connie. I've heard her called Taylor Swift, but I don't agree. It's only the hair. No more turtleneck. It looks like she just aged 5 years!

I know it's a little late, but there is a contest that the Official site has started. It's called the "Act like Odyssey" contest. The first place winner will win the first 50 albums of Odyssey, plus the "Lost Episodes"! The two runner-ups will win the "Encore" and "Platinum" collections. The deadline is March 31st You can read more about it here.

Finally, they released the summaries of the first 4 episodes from "Take It From the Top". They actually look pretty good.

The Inspiration Station I

Summary: Connie loves spending time in Whit’s newest invention, the Inspiration Station. But when a glitch shuts down the machine, her obsession may go too far. Meanwhile, Eugene traces the source of the malfunction to Matthew Parker, who apparently has been "fixing" everyone’s electronics, with disastrous results.

There's a new look for the Whitsend website. That's where you can see the redesign of the characters. Such as Eugene. On the cover of album 51 "Take It From the Top" you see Connie cutting Eugene's hair. This is his new hair cut. Now he doesn't have hair in front of his eyes. Whit probably didn't appreciate Eugene walking into walls at Whit's End. "It scares the kids away. And it disturbs my exercising."

Lots is happening in the Odyssey world, with the new season coming up March 1st. Even the characters are being redesigned. This is the redesign

of Whit to the right. Did he just lose 45 pounds?
